Knowing I would be dedicating my career to bettering the lives of seniors, I focused my academic studies on understanding the psycho-social, and biological aspects of the aging process.
As an undergrad, I studied Psychology, at the University of Maryland. As a graduate student, I studied Health Finance and Management at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, to further develop my understanding of the methodologies which are so central to healthcare systems and to the development of organizations. While my work has primarily been within healthcare, I have spent the majority of my time working with those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Dementia or other forms of memory loss.
I feel lucky to have found a field that I feel so passionately about and to have mentors that are so committed to the cause. It is an honor to have the opportunity to make a difference.
I met my husband during his 4th year of residency at Johns Hopkins. In 2017, we moved to Chicago so that he could complete an interventional radiology residency at Northwestern University. We now live happily in Virginia with our sweet dog Olivia Rose.
